Student Leadership Program

The student leadership program at Rosehill Secondary College is an extremely valued program. The overall aim of the program is to empower students to take on more responsibility within the college and the local community in promoting the College’s core values of Respect, Initiative and Learning. The leadership program also gives students a strong voice within the college, which empowers the student body in decision making processes.

All student leaders complete a detailed application to apply for their position within the program. Once appointed the students understand their sense of responsibility with regard to acting on behalf of their cohort. They initiate ideas that will improve the school as a whole and are a positive role model to their peers.

The students receive training throughout the year and meet regularly in small and large teams. All student leaders are required to plan and facilitate a major fundraising project for a selected charity. All leaders also participate in Community-based days whereby students are involved in a range of activities to build closer links with the school and wider community. Currently we have 45 students directly involved in leadership; we look forward to the program growing from strength to strength.

Rosehill Secondary College is accredited under the Department of Education and Trainings CRICOS registration (CRICOS provider name and code: Department of Education and Training, 00861K).
