Year 10

At Rosehill, the Year 10 learning program have been developed to respond to the specific academic, social and personal needs of students. Students are taught self-discipline and are provided with a curriculum that is relevant and challenging. The approach to teaching and learning builds upon the previous years and is geared towards preparing students for their chosen pathways into VCE or VCAL in Years 11 and 12. Extensive support is provided by our Careers staff to assist students in exploring pathways and options for future years. Classes are 75 minutes in duration, which encourages deeper learning and greater emphasis on knowledge and understanding. A strong student welfare and management team consisting of the Principal Class, Junior and Senior School Leaders, Year Level Coordinators and Assistant Coordinators, and Student Welfare staff work together with students, parents and staff to support students and ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the college. Students are encouraged to participate in leadership activities and a full range of extra curricula activities is available to foster the social, emotional and creative skills of all students.
